Application Deadline: Nurse Practitioner programs begin in the fall only. Deadline for admission is February 1st. The Nurse Administrator program accepts applications for all terms with the following deadlines: Spring - August 1st; Summer - December 1st; Fall - April 1st.

2.5 overall (based on a 4.0 grading scale) for undergraduate work, and a score of at least 300 on the GRE general test OR at least in the 40th percentile on the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is required

Graduate Admission Test Scores
NOTE: During the COVID-19 crisis, admission test scores are not required for students applying for summer 2020, fall 2020, and spring 2021 admission. Unofficial GRE or MAT scores required. Official scores must be submitted on admission (GRE School Code: 1830; MAT School Code: 1012). Test score is waived if GPA>3.0. Test score is required if GPA is lower than 3.0.
The minimum score(s) to be considered for regular admission:
GRE: 300, MAT: 50th Percentile. Students who do not meet these requirements, but who excel in other areas, may be considered for Admission with Permission to Continue.
English Proficiency Test
NOTE: During the COVID-19 crisis we are accepting Duolingo scores (minimum of 105 for regular admission). Non-native speakers are required to submit unofficial TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE scores (official scores are submitted on admission) unless they meet at least one of the following criteria: 1) at the time of initial enrollment, they will hold a degree from a U.S. institution or an institution in one of the English speaking countries or regions in the link below; 2) at the time of initial enrollment, they will have been enrolled in coursework for at least two years at a U.S. institution or an institution in one of the English speaking countries or regions in the link below; 3) they are a citizen or legal resident of one of the English speaking countries or regions in the link below. https://graduate.ua.edu/prospective-students/international-admissions/
