Application Deadline: Summer admission only. December 1st deadline. The Joint UA/UAH Nursing Science Ph.D. program accepts applications from nurses outside of the United States. For each international applicant we must verify that the country of citizenship recognizes on-line graduate education in the US. International students must be able to obtain the appropriate visa for study in the United States each summer for the intensive University of Alabama experiences.

Graduate Admission Test Scores
NOTE: During the COVID-19 crisis, admission test scores are not required for students applying for spring, summer, and fall 2021 admission. This information supersedes the regular test score requirements for this program listed in this section. Unofficial GRE or MAT scores required. Official scores must be submitted on admission (GRE School Code: 1830; MAT School Code: 1012). Waived if GPA>3.0. Required MAT score is 410.

English Proficiency Test
NOTE: During the COVID-19 crisis, in addition to the language tests listed in this section, we are accepting Duolingo scores (minimum of 105 for regular admission). Non-native speakers are required to submit unofficial TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE scores (official scores are submitted on admission) unless they meet at least one of the following criteria: 1) at the time of initial enrollment, they will hold a degree from a U.S. institution or an institution in one of the English speaking countries or regions in the link below; 2) at the time of initial enrollment, they will have been enrolled in coursework for at least two years at a U.S. institution or an institution in one of the English speaking countries or regions in the link below; 3) they are a citizen or legal resident of one of the English speaking countries or regions in the link below. https://graduate.ua.edu/prospective-students/international-admissions/
